While spending on skin grooming is good, doing the same with homemade remedies is golden. They are simple, easy to tend and do not cost excessive time and money!

FOR DRY SKIN

Honey contains anti-inflammatory properties. It draws water to the surface of the skin. Avocado is rich in natural oils which soften/moisturize skin.  Their combination brings surprisingly effective benefits to dry skin.

How To Make: Mash 1/4 of a whole avocado in a container/bowl. Add 1 teaspoon each of honey and olive oil (or any other natural oil). Mix together. Apply this fresh mask on our face and leave for 15-20 minutes. Rinse with warm water for wonderful results.

FOR UNEVEN SKIN TONE 

This face pack is easy to prepare and its regular application gives you evenly toned skin just like that. The skin will become soft and you will also notice a revival in its texture. How To Make: To make this super easy mask, you require 1 teaspoon of gram flour (besan), 2 teaspoons of honey and 3-5 drops of rose water. Mix the ingredients together to form a paste. Then apply to your skin and let it dry. Rinse it off to see the wonderful results

FOR OILY SKIN

Egg whites naturally contain antibacterial properties that prevent clogged pores and absorb excess oil. It doesn’t harm the skin as well. Aloe, on the other side, is the powerhouse of soothing and hydrating elements. Great combo for oily skin.

How To Make: Pour one egg white in a bowl and add 2 tablespoons of fresh aloe (or aloe vera gel). Mix them nicely and spoon them on your face. Dry it for 10 minutes and rinse off.

FOR COMBINATION SKIN

Fresh herbs are known to reduce inflammation while yogurt is enriched with nutrients like zinc, lactic acid and calcium which give a nice glow to the skin. The mixture of herbs and yogurt exfoliates skin to give it a nice glow.

How To Make: Take 2-3 tablespoons of yogurt and a handful of fresh mint leaves. Grind them together in a mortar and pestle or food processor. Apply the mixture evenly on your face. Leave the mask for 15 minutes and then rinse with warm water.

FOR ACNE PRONE SKIN

For acne-prone skin, AHAs (alpha-hydroxy acids) are important chemical compounds that remove dead skin cells from the face. Two ingredients in the mask viz., yogurt and blueberries are natural sources of AHAs. Together they fight acne-causing bacteria to give you clean, soothing skin. Rice flour content gives structure to the mask and ease of application.

How To Make: Mash 1/3 cup of blueberries with 2 tablespoons of yogurt and 1 tablespoon of rice flour.  Leave the mixed paste on your face for 15-20 minutes. Gently rinse with warm water. You can also add 1 teaspoon of honey in the mixture.

FOR GLOWING SKIN

If you desire healthy glowing skin, then this tropical mask will do the trick for you. The ingredients go gentle on all skin types to give a natural-looking glow to your face, without costing you a bomb.

How To Make: Mash half banana in a bowl. Add a tablespoon of orange juice and honey each in it. Mix well and apply to your face. Keep it for 15 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.
